WENATCHEE - Despite falling behind 17-11 after the first quarter, the Quincy Jacks found a way to wiggle free of their arch-rivals, the Ephrata Tigers on Monday night.
The two teams headlined the NCW Prep Showcase's opening night at the Town Toyota Center and when the dust cleared the Jacks had survived with a 54-45 win.
Quincy trailed the entire first half until they scored on a last second putback by Braulio Flores and they would never trailed again.
The Jacks (4-3, 2-3) hit six second-half three-pointers and hit 80 percent of their free throws down the stretch to hold off Ephrata (0-7, 0-5)
Luke Grigg had 16 points and Kody Behrens added 12 points for the Jacks.
Ephrata was led by Brad Christensen's 14-point performance and Zach Allen finished with 12 points.
