WAPATO - A tough Wapato Wolves squad proved why they are in the hunt for a CWAC crown as they stymied the Quincy Lady Jacks early and ran away late with a 49-37 win last night.
Wapato led 12-5 after the first quarter and thwarted a late Quincy (2-6, 2-4) run.
"We had trouble scoring in the first half and we made a good run at them in the second half," Quincy head coach Cully Donovan said. "The girls played really well they just ran out of steam. They played really inspired and I'm proud of how they made a run at the other team."
Aurorah Davis led Quincy with 13 points while Desi Durfee added eight points.
