The Bonners Ferry girls JV team hosted Newport and found themselves down four points right out of the gate. The Badgers then pulled off a 15-1 run to close out the first period.

The Badgers maintained their lead heading into halftime, but things got a bit dicey in the fourth period when the Badgers had to play the last 3 minutes of the game with 4 players.

The Christmas vacation, students out of town for the holidays and foul trouble all contributed to an exciting game, which the Badgers completed with a 30-12 win.

McKenzie MacDonald and Tessa Payne each scored 8 points to lead the Badgers. Jailee Foster scored 7 points while Ally Merrifield added 6 points. Emma Kelly added a point from the free throw line.
