The city of Bonners Ferry is selling three properties.

Bids will be accepted and opened at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at City Hall.

One of the parcels is located adjacent to Riverside Auto Center. Dealership president Bill Hiatt Sr. apparently asked the city to sell the property. Hiatt did not return a telephone call to The Herald.

“The city decided to sell the property because the property is not needed by the city for their operations and had no value (the city continuing to own the property),” said assistant city administrator David Sims.

If there is more than one bidder for any parcel, then the two highest bidders will be asked to submit another sealed bid by 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb 25.

The city had a commercial appraiser from Coeur d’ Alene provide an appraisal on each parcel and set the minimum bids as follows:

 • $23,757 for a four-lot parcel with frontage on Riverside Street. The 105 by 82-foot property is accessed from the alley south of Riverside Street.

• $3,171 for a  25- by 82-foot lot on the Riverside addition, with frontage on Riverside Street.

• $4,641 for a 30- by 140-foot lot in the Eaton addition, which can be accessed from Maple Street.

For information, call rhe city at 267-3105.
