Eureka boys fall in 7B opener

LIBBY — The Lions were plagued by offensive troubles to start the District 7B boys basketball tournament as St. Ignatius dropped Eureka 47-36 in opening-round action on Thursday.
Ryan Holder scored 17 points for Eureka but Jake Durglo was one better, leading St. Ignatius with 18 and helping the Bulldogs build a 27-17 lead at half.
St. Ignatius led 36-22 heading into the fourth period.
Both teams came into the contest with 3-15 records overall.

LIBBY — Thompson Falls got off to a fast start, but Troy closed it out in winning fashion, rallying for a victory.
Troy (10-9) outscored Thompson Falls (5-14) 16-9 in the final frame.
Thompson Falls led 17-9 after the opening quarter.
Trent Cratty led Troy in scoring with 24 points. He tallied 10 points in the final quarter.
Chalis Wilson topped Thompson Falls with 12.
