Washington State University officials have scheduled a news conference today to reveal their choice for athletic director. Several news organizations are reporting that Bill Moos has taken the job.

Moos was offered the job last Thursday by WSU president Elson Floyd, after an extraordinarily public process in which Floyd said he was deluged by fans demanding he hire the popular former Cougar player and administrator.

WSU officials declined to discuss details of their scheduled 2 p.m. news conference in Pullman. Moos did not return an Associated Press telephone message seeking comment.
