The Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee unanimously voted to recommend a zone change for a grouping of properties near Parker Lakes Drive and Montana Highway 35.

Property owners Louis Schlegel, Mark Schlegel and Jeff and Danielle Boll requested the change from AG-20, or agricultural, to SAG-5, or suburban agricultural, on 42.48 acres.

Mark Schlegel originally approached Flathead County about the change because he wanted to do a family transfer of 5 acres to his daughter. Several properties in the area are more accurately one unit per five acres and were grandfathered in when the zoning took place, county planners said.
