Participants for the boys and girls 2010 Idaho high school all-star basketball games have been announced by the North Idaho College athletic department.

The seventh annual event is scheduled for Saturday, March 13 at NIC's Christianson Gym.

The games pit the North (seniors from District 1 and 2) vs. the South (the rest of the state).

The girls game is scheduled for 1 p.m., followed by the boys game at 3:30. The event will include a 3-point shooting contest with the girls competing against the boys and a slam-dunk contest between the games.

Last year the North won both games. The girls team won for the second time in the series 92-81, while the boys evened the series at three games apiece with a 114-109 win.

Players were chosen by a selection committee of sports writers and broadcasters from throughout the state. The committee selected 12 players, an alternate and coach for the four teams.

Admission to the game is $6 for adults, $4 for students and senior citizens and will be available at the door, sponsor locations and local area high schools.

The games are sponsored by Time Warner Cable, Century 21-Beutler and Associates, The Coeur d'Alene Resort, Michael D's Eatery, Sports Cellar and the NIC Booster Club.
