Kayla and Ron Couture emerge from icy Flathead Lake all smiles after taking the annual Polar Plunge on New Year's Day. Though having no official sponsor, about 20 plungers showed up at 1 p.m. to partake in the frigid traditional start to the year. Kayla claimed this her third plunge in Polson, something she does "so my dad can't hold anything against me," she said. Plungers were in and out of the water, with the air temperature hovering around the mid-30's.
