Letter: Proud to have served with soldiers

Dear Editor:

I would like to say welcome home to the troops of the Montana National Guard from Libby and Troy and throughout the state.

As a Libby native that started my military career in the Libby Armory, I was proud to serve with these soldiers over the past year here in Baghdad. It was always nice to see a smiling Montana face when I pulled up to the fuel point or took a trip to one of the other bases in Baghdad.

These soldiers were always willing to assist in any way they could and served honorably throughout their tour in Iraq. Be proud of your soldiers and what they have sacrificed for our community and nation. I would proudly serve with these soldiers again.

Thanks for your service and welcome home to the great state of Montana.

Maj. Ken Phillips
