Ester Mae Moore, 80, of Sandpoint, Idaho, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Bonner General Hospital.

She was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Dallas City, Ill., the daughter of George and Verna Rockel.  Ester moved to the Los Angeles area as a child and later to Arcadia where she attended schools.

In 1947 she married Donald Moore in Arcadia, Calif. They lived in Southern California until 1978 when they moved to Sandpoint.

She and her husband opened the video store in Sagle in 1984 and operated it until 2000.  Ester enjoyed collecting pig figurines and had accumulated a large number over the years.  She enjoyed doing needle work and making craft items.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Moore of Sandpoint; a son,John (Doreen) Moore of Sagle; a daughter, Judy (David) Hatch of Clovis, Calif; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and  a brother, Ronald Green of Yucca Valley, Calif. She was preceded in death by parents.

Private services will be conducted at a later date.
