Parties were counseled after a 15-year-old boy reportedly pulled the hair of a 15-year-old girl Thursday evening. In a different hair-puling incident, a nine year old girl was apparently pulling her classmates’ hair and acting inappropriately at an elementary school in Lakeside.

A dog was killing chickens on Farm Road around 1 p.m. Friday. The chickens’ owners told Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies they believe they know who the dog belongs to. No criminal action was taken.

Children were throwing snowballs at a jeep as it drove along East Evergreen Drive Thursday afternoon. In separate incidents, kids were also reportedly throwing snowballs at cars near Klondyke Loop and at an apartment on Jellison Road.

A rubber mat was found blocking the train tracks at Rose Crossing Thursday evening.

An apparently intoxicated man wearing a trench coat was seen yelling at people near an Evergreen grocery Thursday night.

Several intoxicated women fighting at a residence on Circle Drive were separated by authorities around 2 a.m. Friday.

A washer and dryer were reportedly taken from a residence on U.S. 93 South. Authorities are investigating.

A resident of Vonderheide Lane called to report a neighbor who put up a suspicious-looking target. No word on what the target was or what made it suspicious.

A communications company is dealing with the cable line reportedly down late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Deputies received 137 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell Police found three sixth graders in the pool area of a gym on Sunnyview Lane around 11:30 a.m. Friday. They were returned to the Kalispell Middle School.

Loose puppies found running near U.S. 93 South were corralled and contained in a fenced yard by a citizen. Their owner is unknown.

A 34-year-old man was cited for panhandling near a box store on U.S. 93 North Thursday afternoon.

A concerned credit card owner called police to inform them of a potential fraud after he received a call from someone offering to lower his interest rate. He was counseled.

A man was reportedly pushing his sister around, using profanity and ripping up photos in a Seventh Avenue West residence. The man left around 7 p.m. Thursday. The woman was counseled.

Authorities found a vehicle abandoned in the middle of West Reserve near its intersection with U.S. 93 around 8 p.m. Thursday. Police turned on the hazard lights and handled the matter.

A guest at a hotel on U.S. 93 South called police to report that a guest in the room next door was pounding on the walls and irritating other rooms. Officers arrived around 7:45 a.m. Friday to find the room quiet. They talked to the suspect, who said he was just rinsing a dish in the sink.

A 24-year-old woman and another woman, 27, were arrested for shoplifting at a box store on U.S. 93 Friday afternoon.

A man was arrested after he apparently busted out the plate glass windows in a house on Seventh Avenue West Friday morning.

Officers are recovering multiple stolen iPods from the Kalispell Middle School. They are investigating.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police arrested two young males who stole liquid cold medicine from a grocery store Thursday afternoon.

During a routine traffic stop downtown around 1:30 a.m. Friday, police arrested a 22-year-old Whitefish man for driving under the influence.

After a video caught a 25-year-old Whitefish man in the act of urinating outside a downtown business a few days ago, police were able to arrest him Friday.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

A wallet and electronics were reportedly stolen from the Columbia Falls High School soon after noon Friday, according to Columbia Falls Police.
