Flathead County sheriff

Blood was spotted all over the side of a vehicle on Middle Road in Columbia Falls on Wednesday. 

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responded soon after noon and learned the car’s owner had punched the window with his fist, breaking the glass and cutting himself.

A man and a woman were arrested for partner or family member assault Tuesday night after they were reportedly pushing and shoving each other at a residence on East Evergreen Drive.

A scooter was stolen from the Columbia Falls area late Tuesday night.

At an Evergreen residence soon after midnight, a man who had been drinking asked another man who was drinking to leave. A verbal disturbance ensued and deputies arrived to separate the two.

Responding to a report of underfed llamas on Yeoman Hall Road, an animal warden left a notice for the property owner at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies were unable to catch the black Lab running in the slow lane of U.S. 93 South.

Deputies received 113 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

The unwelcome trespasser at a grocery store on U.S. 2 East was taken to a Kalispell residence late Tuesday night. The man, who was carrying a suitcase at the time, has in the past reportedly threatened an employee, who is a family member. Kalispell Police removed him from the store without incident.

A woman continues to be stalked at her home and place of employment, according to her mother who reported the incidents to police Tuesday afternoon.

Police were unable to locate the person who didn’t pay for  bag of groceries before leaving a store on U.S. 93 South Tuesday night.

Officers received 45 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

Kalispell Fire Department rescued an elderly woman from her bathroom around 7 a.m. Wednesday. The woman had been pounding on the wall for about 10 minutes, alerting her neighbor. The neighbor called police after unsuccessfully attempting to contact the woman. Police arrived at the Ponderosa Street residence, alerting the fire department upon learning the woman was trapped. Crews entered through a window on the first story and soon freed the woman.
