COEUR d'ALENE - It's full.
Around 90 parade entries have been chosen and are ready to ride or roll down Sherman Avenue on Sunday.
The hour-long annual parade - led by grand marshal Vern Newby - kicks off at 11 a.m. where anyone from political parties to the purely costume clad will throng down the street to City Park where bands, food stands and festivities will fill the rest of the afternoon.
And per Fourth of July protocol, the day ends with a bang.
Literally.
"It's going to be a blast," said Todd Christensen, Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce CEO.
The fireworks show explodes at 9:45 and will crackle for around 20 minutes.
The parade will actually begin with buckets ushered along the route for a final request for donations to fund the show. But Christensen said he's expecting the buckets, parking lot proceeds and promised donations to cover the full donation amount - around $30,000 - for the show.
"Everything's coming together," he said.
The weather forecast calls for temperatures to be in the 70s Sunday. Pleasant enough for joggers to race down Sherman before the parade during the Fourth of July Mile.
Plenty of other shows are on tap around the area too.
