Brett Gardner hit his first career grand slam and Alex Rodriguez drove in four more runs during the Yankees' biggest offensive inning in five years, carrying New York to an 11-3 rout of the visiting Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

Twins slugger Jim Thome homered twice to move past Harmon Killebrew into 10th place on the career list with 574.
Royals 4, Angels 2: At Anaheim, Calif., Bruce Chen retired his first 18 batters, leading Kansas City past Los Angeles.
Rangers 3, White Sox 1: At Arlington, Texas, Tommy Hunter scattered nine singles over seven-plus innings and Texas beat Chicago.
Indians 5, Athletics 4, 10 inn.: Matt LaPorta's RBI single in the 10th lifted Cleveland past visiting Oakland.
