Alice M. Miller passed away July 7, 2010, in Post Falls. She was born July 14, 1925, in Germantown, Pa., to Warren and Julia (Brooks) Nece.

Alice married Francis (Jack) P. Miller May 17, 1945, in Riverton, N.J. They were married 49 years. They moved West in 1951 to Priest River where they lived six years before moving to Rathdrum, where they lived 39 years. Alice moved to Hayden after the passing of Francis in 1994. She lived in Hayden for 16 years before moving to Living Springs Assisted living in Post Falls. 

Alice had many interests, loved the ocean, gardening and camping. She was a longtime member of the Saint Pius Catholic Church, and spent many hours on different committees.

Alice has four remaining children: Karen Bennett, Sandy McGrath, Connie Speck and Laurie Knapp. She had one son, Gary that preceded her in death in 1969. She also has 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, with Vigil to follow. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow Mass at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens and then a luncheon will follow at St. Pius Church.
