Lenora M. Jensen Grieve

Lenora M. Jensen Grieve, passed away on July 5, 2010, at Pacific Care & Rehab Center in Hoquiam, Wash. She was born on March 22, 1915, near Riparia, Wash. Lenora was the fifth child in a family of 13 children born to William E. and Susie N. (Harvey) Harrison.
Lenora married Harvey J. Jensen on Sept. 19, 1934. To this marriage was born Gail Anderson (Lee D.); both of whom predeceased Lenora; Alice L. Orr (Don) of Tokeland, Wash., and Susan L. Jelle (Larry) of Anchorage, Alaska. After farming for many years, the family moved to Harrison, then to Coeur d’Alene in 1955. After Harvey died in 1965, Lenora went to Tacoma, Wash. where she worked until she married John Leon Grieve on July 1, 1972. They lived in Shoshone, where she resided until Leon’s death. She lived in Twin Falls until August of 2000, when she moved to Montesano, Wash., to be near her daughters. Her last 6 1/2 years were spent residing at the Karr House assisted living facility in Hoquiam, where she felt a part of another large family.
Lenora is survived by eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mable Mitson (Claude), and two brothers, Albert Harrison and Clifford (Marilyn) Harrison.
There will be a celebration of life service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Montesano Church of God. Lenora’s final resting place will be in Coeur d’Alene at the Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A service there will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene.
