MOSES LAKE — About 1,100 Columbia Basin residents gave blood during Inland Northwest Blood Center’s Community Wide Blood Drive event last week.

The center set up a blood drive in front of Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake. The center helped about 3,000 patients provide donations, according to center spokesperson Monique Cotton.

Winners of prize drawings for items, such as Mariners tickets and a hotel stay in Seattle, fair passes, Shock tickets and Indians tickets, will be announced to donors soon.

“Samaritan and the center have had a strong working relationship for many years,” stated Scott Campbell, Samaritan’s vice president of planning and development.  “Samaritan provides space to (the center) for weekly blood donations.”

The center sets up in front of Samaritan most Mondays and Tuesdays. The center provides all of the blood products for Samaritan and for other Columbia Basin hospitals.

Samaritan Healthcare is located at, 1550 S. Pioneer Way.
