'Tis free concert season in Kootenai County

The free summer concert series sponsored by the Post Falls Community Volunteers kicks off on Thursday with Raggs and Bush Doktor playing raggae music at Q'emiln Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Other Post Falls concerts include Kelly Hughes (country) in conjunction with the community picnic on Aug. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Six-foot Swing on Aug. 19 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Other free concerts this week are:

• Turning Tide (Irish), today, 6-8:30 p.m., Sherman Square Park, 316 Sherman Ave., Coeur d'Alene;

• The Pat Coast Band (rock), Wednesday, 6-8:30 p.m., Hayden City Park;

• Andy Day (modern, classic hits), Thursday, 6-7:30 p.m., Riverstone Park, Coeur d'Alene;

• Mike and Aaron (acoustical), Friday, noon, at Rathdrum Days, Lakeland High;

• Hat Band (bluegrass), Friday, 4 p.m., at Rathdrum Days, Lakeland High;

• Sonic Window (blues), Friday, 7-9 p.m., at Rathdrum Days, Lakeland High;

• The Groove, Friday, 7-9 p.m., Rathdrum Days, Main Street;

• Rock Bottom, Friday, 8:30 p.m.-midnight, at River City Rod Run, Hot Rod Cafe, Post Falls;

• Crossfire (rock), Saturday, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at River City Rod Run;

• Affordable Karaoke, Saturday, 10 a.m., Rathdrum Days, Lakeland High;

• Northwest Exposure Music (rock and country), Saturday, 11 a.m., Rathdrum Days, Lakeland High; and
