Eugenia E. Kirby, 81, of Newman Lake, Wash., passed away July 2, 2010, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. She was born Oct. 10, 1928, in LaClede.

Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Agnes Brazington; husband Henry L. Kirby; daughter Pamela Jean Kirby; daughter-in-law Shawn Kirby; brother Amador Brazington and sister Beatrice Stanger.

She is survived by sons Duane and Kerry Kirby, Pat Kirby (Sue); daughter Deanna Simmons (Rick); brothers Marvin (Faye) and Virgil (Nancy) Brazington; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews and cousin and lifelong friend, Nita Wendlandt.

Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer in June 2008 and given four months to live but fought hard for more than two years. She was a wonderful loving Mother and Grandmother who will be missed by all of us. Love you forever.

Per Eugenia's wishes, no service will held. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
