KTEC: Enthusiastic thumbs up

After reading the “My Turn” article in Friday’s paper I felt compelled to write the editor voicing my support for KTEC.

I have had the pleasure of visiting other technical education facilities that are quite similar and the rewards from this type of program are far reaching. I have seen kids earn college credits so they can graduate from college sooner, develop lifelong hands-on skills, have the opportunity to find a career they are passionate about early in life, start earning a high wage right out of high school, develop work ethic and on top of that there are countless economic advantages.

I would like to congratulate the Meyer family and the local businesses for stepping up with the huge land donation to the school districts that got this ball rolling. In addition, I encourage your readers to show up at the polls to vote yes; not only for your family’s future but also for the future of our community. This will be good thing for young and old alike!
