The future of the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 15 years, 5 months AGO
If you have any concerns about the future of the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer, now is your chance to soak up some knowledge.
Next Monday the Coeur d'Alene Public Library will host a presentation on the projected impacts of climate change on the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer over the next 50 years.
The speaker is pretty credible: Dr. Venkataramana Sridhar from Boise State University. Although we might want to find a nickname for him, his studies on aquifers and climate change go way back, and his research of Idaho watersheds has been published in the "Journal of the American Water Resources Association."
Currently assistant professor of civil engineering at BSU, he also has a Ph.D in biosystems engineering and is a water resources engineer.
So if you've been dying to have an argument with someone about how climate change is a bunch of baloney, this is probably your guy.
Sridhar will speak at 10:45 a.m. in the community room of the library.
