Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 15 years, 5 months AGO
After talking, they don't have much to say.
The Kootenai County commissioners met with the members of the Coeur d'Alene tribal council earlier this week over the issue of the 142.6 tribe acres to be put into trust status, which the commissioner have appealed.
No conclusion was made at the meeting, say both sides. But it isn't over.
"We want to come to an agreement and we've assigned some people to work on that and bring us a proposal," said Commissioner Rick Currie.
He predicted the two sides will come to an understanding in about a month.
Tribe spokesperson Marc Stewart said it would be innappropriate to go into the details of the meeting at this time.
"Those discussions will continue into the future and hopefully a solution can be found," Stewart said today. - Alecia Warren
