BONNERS FERRY — Anyone who has not had the opportunity to stop in and explore the new Safeway should go to the preview party and grand opening.

The preview party will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a band performing inside the store.

The grand opening will be from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, July 31, and will feature sale prices and specials.

“The grand opening sales and deals will continue for four to six weeks,” said Brett Brown, store manager. “All the departments are open and the China Kitchen in the deli will be open as well.”

Starbucks is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week and opened on July 12.

The pharmacy inside Safeway is up and running as well as the deli, bakery and floral shops.

The department hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.,  seven days a week.  The pharmacy hours are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The floral department is in full bloom and offers not only lovely flowers and arrangements but gifts, balloons and candles.  All with the smiling face of floral department manager, Cheryl Fries, standing by.

“The support has been terrific,” said Fries. “The first couple of weeks during training the management made us know our importance in the company.”
