Halladay keeps Rockies cold on a hot night in Philly

NATIONAL LEAGUE
Roy Halladay cruised through eight innings, Raul Ibanez drove in three runs with three hits and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the visiting Colorado Rockies 6-0 on Friday night for their second consecutive shutout.
Halladay allowed five hits and a walk while striking out nine on a 92-degree evening at Citizens Bank Park. The right-hander threw 116 pitches in his first win since July 5 against Atlanta.
Philadelphia pitchers have tossed 20 straight scoreless innings the past two days. Cole Hamels and the Phillies allowed one hit Thursday, beating St. Louis 2-0 in 11 innings.
Mets 6, Dodgers 1: Johan Santana tossed seven strong innings and New York won at Los Angeles.
Giants 7, Diamondbacks 4: At Phoenix, Kelly Johnson hit for the cycle but it wasn't enough as three errors cost Arizona in a loss to San Francisco.
Padres 5, Pirates 3: Aaron Cunningham's leadoff triple started San Diego on a four-run second and the Padres won at Pittsburgh.
Cubs 5, Cardinals 0: Alfonso Soriano hit a two-run homer to lead host Chicago past St. Louis.
Brewers 7, Nationals 5: Jim Edmonds hit a two-run homer in the seventh to lift Milwaukee past visiting Washington.
Reds 6, Astros 4: Jay Bruce hit a go-ahead double in the eighth and Cincinnati won at Houston.
Marlins 7, Braves 6: At Miami, Donnie Murphy delivered his second game-ending hit of the week and Florida beat Atlanta.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Yankees 7, Royals 1: A.J. Burnett bounced back from a horrible start cut short by a self-inflicted injury to pitch five scoreless innings, Robinson Cano hit a three-run double and New York beat visiting Kansas City.
Rangers 1, Angels 0: At Arlington, Texas, C.J. Wilson scattered four hits over eight innings, Michael Young homered, and Texas beat Los Angeles as the AL West-leading Rangers stretched their season-high lead over the second-place Angels to seven games.
Orioles 3, Twins 2: Jeremy Guthrie allowed two runs in seven innings to earn his first win since May 25, Luke Scott homered and Baltimore beat visiting Minnesota.
Indians 3, Rays 1, 7 inn., rain: Fausto Carmona allowed one hit - in five dominant innings as host Cleveland beat Tampa Bay on a rain-soaked night in a game called in the bottom of the seventh.
White Sox 5, Athletics 1: Mark Buehrle pitched a four-hitter and Chicago won at Oakland.
Toronto at Detroit, ppd., rain: The Blue Jays-Tigers game was postponed due to rain and will be made up Sunday as part of a day-night doubleheader.
