SPEECH: Vital to keep it free

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years, 5 months AGO

It is amazing to me that an American would criticize another American’s right to verbalize his opinion. The right to free speech is guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. That right can take many forms and can include a letter to the editor of a newspaper.

I applaud the Coeur d’Alene Press for allowing any American his right to free speech. It doesn’t matter if that person is critical of the president. That is our right.
