Cd'A: Cut taxes, don't raise them

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years, 6 months AGO

Before I read The Press story about Coeur d'Alene raising property taxes I was sure that since property values have fallen and we're in a deep recession, property taxes would go down at least 25 percent. How are the good folks of Coeur d'Alene going to pay higher taxes when most of us are making less money?

I think the city council needs to wake up and cut some jobs or cut the pay of the city employees instead of raising taxes. We need a huge tax cut, not an increase. If you feel like we do let the city council know you want a tax cut, not an increase.
