'Evita' auditions begin Monday

COEUR d'ALENE - Auditions for the Lake City Playhouse production of the musical "Evita" will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the theater, 1320 E. Garden Ave.

Be prepared to sing a 1-minute song that is not a selection from the production.

No CDs and no a cappella will be allowed and singers must provide their own sheet music and wear appropriate clothing for dance and movement.

Available roles are: Magaldi, sleazy, to look late 30's to early 40s; Peron, dignified, to look mid 40s to mid-50s; Che, rebel, politico, to look 18-25; Eva, self assured, smart, striking, to play ages 16-32; and The Mistress, to appear as a teen.

There will be four callbacks.

Various roles are also available for the 12 to 16 member chorus/ensemble. Children may audition for the Act 2 Children Chorus.
