COEUR d'ALENE - The Coeur d'Alene Public Library and the Museum of North Idaho have teamed up to host two free screenings of a new film about the 1910 wildfires on Sunday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.

'Ordeal by Fire,' photographed, edited and narrated by George Sibley, is a Gale Force Film Production presented by the Sanders County Historical Society, Thompson Falls, Mont., and the Museum of North Idaho.

Gathering these historic materials was no easy task. Sibley and his wife pored through the film collections of the National Archives in College Park, Md., and regional Forest Service collections in Boise and Missoula, Mont., to come up with footage of vintage fire crews in action.
