Sharks upend Shock

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Spokane Shock saw their 11-game win streak come to an end on Friday night, falling to the Jacksonville Sharks 64-49 in front of 13,000 at Veterans Memorial Arena in the regular season finale for both teams.

Aaron Garcia threw seven touchdowns, including a 24-yard touchdown to Jason Willis to seal the win in the fourth quarter for Jacksonvlle (12-4).

Spokane (13-3) quarterback Kyle Rowley connected with Markee White on touchdown passes of 22, 6, 20, 4 and 8 yards. Shock backup quarterback Brian Zbydniewski threw an interception to Jacksonville defensive back Micheaux Robinson to halt a late comeback effort with 28 seconds remaining.

Spokane had already clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs last week with a win over Chicago at home. Spokane will play host to Arizona next Friday in a first-round game.
