Jessica Read once again competed in Montana High School Rodeo this past weekend. On Saturday, she took 8th in goat tying, with a time of 11.85 seconds and 11th in barrel racing with a time of 19.03 seconds.

Jessica Read once again competed in Montana High School Rodeo this past weekend. On Saturday, she took 8th in goat tying, with a time of 11.85 seconds and 11th in barrel racing with a time of 19.03 seconds.Sunday was a much better day with a personal best in goat tying, with a time of 7.78 seconds. Unfortunately, her horse jumped over the goat tether and added a 10 second penalty. She had a terrific barrel racing run that day with a time of 18.76 seconds for a 4th place finish.

As of May 21, she is tied for 10th place in the state for the goat tying event. With four day district rodeo event over Memorial Day weekend in Drummond, she will be a contender worth watching.
