BFHS graduates 112 seniors on Saturday

There was a full house Saturday inside the Boundary County Middle School gymnasium where parents, grandparents, siblings and friends gathered to honor Bonners Ferry High School graduates.
The class of 112 students recognized six valedictorians including, Erin Hiatt, Stephanie Plantz, Tana Schneider, Dylan Sweeney and twins, Casey Watt and Colton Watt.
Betty Jean Poston was class salutatorian.
This year, $71,732 in local scholarshipswere handed out to the graduates. There was a total of college and university awards amounting in $495,310, making a grand total of $567,042 awarded to students of the class of 2010.
The 2010 Boundary County School District students will will be off today and go half a day on Friday, officially ending the school year.
