Riverside High Schoolhanded out 10 diplomas to graduates during Friday’s graduation ceremony.

“We soar like a raven so high in the sky, success is possible, if you but try,” was the theme for the class of 2010.

Shaya Hall, 17, was involved in student council leadership and leadership. Shaya does work with Saving Grace Ranch a home for abused and unwanted horses. Hall also trains horses. She plans to attend college and eventually have a family.

Shane Helsper, 20, moved to Bonners Ferry last year. He came to Riverside High School seeking his diploma and is proud he attained his goal. He would like to become a firefighter, mechanic or construction worker but has not decided.

Samuel Johnson, 17, follows several family members who graduated from Riverside. He was active in student council, fundraisers and building projects around the campus.Samuel would like to get his pilot’s license and go into farming.

Zachary Paulsen has livedon Bonners Ferry all his life. He received a Mongar Scholarship for vocational studies and plans to go to college. His advice to others is, learn to do your schoolwork and don’t fall behind.”

Caleb Perez, 17, came to Bonners Ferry from Miami seven years ago.Caleb graduated with perfect attendance and a 4.0 GPA. He was also involved with building projects on campus.Caleb plans to work for college money or enlist in the military.

Victoria Hardy, 19, just got married. She and her husband are expecting their first child this summer. She helped with fundraising and wants to attend college.

Victoria’s advice,“don’t mess around in high school, because it will make it harder and make the high school stay longer.”

Tiffany Worley, 17, has loved in Bonners Ferry her entire life. She is on the honor roll and has been involved in cheerleading for six years. Tiffany has perfect attendance and has been involved with pep club. She plans on going to college to study photography.

Brandon Cunningham has a brand new baby boy. He joined the U.S. Army and will soon leave for basic training. He would like to serve 20 years in the military.

His advice, “believe in yourself no matter what, there is always a way out.”

Alexandria DePriest, 17, has lived in Bonners Ferry for three years. Her plans are to work in childcare and going to Russia. DePriest passes on this advice: Don’t procrastinate.

Sean Flett, 18, has spent most of his high school years at Riverside. He won an excellent attendance award and Mongar scholarship for vocational studies. His advice to others is, “don’t give up, just listen to Debbie Flory.”
