Dodgers snap Braves' streak

James Loney hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the seventh inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers snapped the visiting Atlanta Braves' nine-game winning streak with a 5-4 victory on Friday night.

Braves starter Kenshin Kawakami gave up a ground-rule double to Andre Ethier and intentionally walked Manny Ramirez before Loney greeted Eric O'Flaherty with his run-scoring single to center.

Jonathan Broxton worked a perfect ninth for his 14th save in 16 attempts.

Diamondbacks 7, Rockies 6: At Phoenix, Ryan Roberts' RBI single in the ninth helped Arizona beat Colorado, ending a 10-game losing streak.

Nationals 4, Reds 2: Ian Desmond hit a RBI single to break a seventh-inning tie, and Washington beat visiting Cincinnati.

Giants 6, Pirates 4: Juan Uribe and Aubrey Huff each hit a two-run homer and San Francisco rallied at Pittsburgh.

Astros 3, Cubs 1: Felipe Paulino struck out seven in eight effective innings, helping host Houston beat Chicago.

Mets 4, Marlins 3: R.A. Dickey won his third straight start and New York beat visiting Florida.

Cardinals 8, Brewers 0: Colby Rasmus drilled a two-run homer to lead host St. Louis past Milwaukee.

Phillies 3, Padres 2: Roy Halladay pitched seven solid innings to help Philadelphia beat visiting San Diego.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Blue Jays 6, Yankees 1: Jose Bautista hit two home runs, and Toronto beat visiting New York.

Red Sox 11, Orioles 0: Marco Scutaro homered and scored three runs, and Boston won at Baltimore.

Twins 5, Athletics 4, 11 inn.: Delmon Young's RBI single in the 11th lifted Minnesota at Oakland.

Royals 7, Tigers 3: Jason Kendall had three hits and three RBIs to help Kansas City beat visiting Detroit.

Rangers 9, Rays 6: At Arlington, Texas, Josh Hamilton had a homer and two doubles, and Texas rallied from an early four-run deficit to beat Tampa Bay.

Indians 10, White Sox 1: Jhonny Peralta hit a pair of two-run doubles as Cleveland won at Chicago.
