POST FALLS - A 29-year-old Hillsboro, Ore., man is being held at the Kootenai County jail on a $750,000 bond for allegedly battering his girlfriend and another male with a bottle, causing serious head and facial injuries to both.

Steaven M. Valley was charged with one count of felony domestic battery and two counts of felony aggravated battery.

Both victims were taken to Kootenai Medical Center after the alleged incident early Tuesday morning at a trailer on Ridge Drive off Corbin Road near Post Falls, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Department.

The 29-year-old female was admitted to the intensive care unit with a brain injury. Pieces of glass were found in her hair at the hospital. A KMC spokesperson on Friday said no information was available on the woman.

Her male friend, the other victim, was treated and released from KMC.

Valley was also arrested on two counts of battery on Monday for allegedly battering his girlfriend, then was bonded out of jail by her the same day, according to the sheriff's report.

The woman was with the male victim when she bonded Valley out and the three later began drinking alcohol at the female's home.

She and her male friend said Valley asked for a "threesome" and when the male and her started kissing, Valley beat them with a bottle.

"(The male victim) said he remembers passing out a couple of times," the report states. "(He) said he saw Valley hitting (her) and he tried to help her, but he couldn't."

A neighbor said Valley told her that he caught his girlfriend and the male kissing, so he beat both of them with a bottle.

Valley was arrested without incident later in the morning near Poleline and McGuire when he was spotted driving his girlfriend's Dodge Durango. He allegedly had taken the male victim's cell phone and vehicle keys, which were found in the vehicle.

Valley, who had minor injuries, told a deputy that he caught his girlfriend having oral sex with her male friend. He said the male then threw a bottle at him that hit his girlfriend, so he began beating the male.

"(She) jumped on me and it got all chaotic," Valley told deputies.

A no-contact order was issued as a condition of Valley's bail. Valley, who told deputies that he has been living at the residence for about two months and dating her for a year, was also cited for driving without privileges.
