COEUR d'ALENE - ROW Adventures will host two rafting events to raise money for breast cancer and Alzheimer's efforts.
The second Raft to Remember trip on June 20 is a half-day trip on the Spokane River. It is a time for people affected by Alzheimer's to share experiences. Cost is $59 with 60 percent of the proceeds going to the Inland Northwest Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
"My own mother suffered from this disease, so there is a very personal reason for our wish to support and help raise funds for this superb organization," said Peter Grubb, ROW founder.
The third Raft for the Cure will be on the Clark Fork River on Aug. 8. Cost is $100 per person with 50 percent of the proceeds going to the Coeur d'Alene affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The trip includes a full day of whitewater rafting, a gourmet riverside lunch, T-shirt and special ceremony at the end.
