The Inland Northwest Community foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho to support Idaho's "one stop-shop" for people in need.

St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho will use the funds to bolster services provided to the hundreds of people who come through its multi agency H.E.L.P. center monthly.

The Inland Northwest Community Foundation has awarded more than $37 million in grants and scholarships throughout the 20-county region of the Inland Northwest since 1974.

"We have seen a massive increase in the number of people seeking help from the agencies within the H.E.L.P. Center," said Jeff Conroy, executive director of St Vincent de Paul North Idaho. "The Inland Northwest Community Foundation grant will allow us to provide better support and allow us to bring in more services for people in need."

The H.E.L.P. Center, 201 E. Harrison Ave., has served more than 12,000 since opening in July 2009.
