Liberty Lake man dies in rollover

A Liberty Lake man was killed early Friday when the truck he was driving drove off a road and rolled down an embankment.

According to the Idaho State Police, Scott Whittaker, 57, was eastbound in a 2003 Ford F150 about five miles off U.S. 95 on Bottle Bay Road when the pickup went off the left shoulder, struck a rock, then rolled down a steep, rocky embankment.

Police said the crash happened between midnight and 8:40 a.m. Friday when it was discovered.

Whittaker was wearing a seat belt, police said.

An investigation continues.

Athol church names new pastor

ATHOL - Chris Antone is the new pastor of Athol Baptist Church.

Antone and his wife and two sons are from Pensacola, Fla.

Sunday's service is at 10:45 a.m. at 29450 N. U.S. 95.

The public is welcome.
