Whitefish 2010 graduate Hailey Mortensen has been named to the Class A all-state softball team.

The catcher was one of six to make the team from the Northwestern conference and the only Lady Bulldog. She also made the all-conference first-team for her work behind the plate.

Mortensen batted .531 this season with 24 RBIs and an on-base percentage of .577. She will play softball for Central Washington University, in Wenatchee, Wash.

Also earning first-team all-conference honors were senior pitcher Kaitlyn Wehrli and junior infielder Madison Tveidt.

Shannon Holmes was named to the second-team for her play at first base, and outfielder Emma Baldonado was given honorable mention.
