Elks take two from Lakers

Lethbridge scored early in the opener, then rallied late in the nightcap to sweep the Kalispell Lakers 5-0 and 7-2 in AA American Legion baseball play on Sunday at Griffin Field.
Lethbridge outhit Kalispell 17-10 on the day to improve to 3-0 in league action, 9-5 overall.
Kalispell lost its fourth-straight league game, dropping to 5-4 in Western AA play. Overall, the Lakers are 22-9.
Dean Stimpson carried the big stick for Kalispell, going 2-for-3 in the opener and 3-for-4 in the second game.
Tyson Hudson hit two triples and drove in five runs for Lethbridge in the finale. The Elks scored three times in the sixth and seventh innings to pull it out.
Kalispell, which has lost four of its last five ballgames, plays one nine-inning game on Wednesday at Missoula. The first pitch is set for 7 p.m.
