Keith H. Baese, 71

Passed away Feb. 24, 2010, in Ogden, Utah. Keith was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Vernal, Utah, to John and Ida (Richens) Baese. He grew up in Page, Idaho, and attended school in the Kellogg area.
He served in the U.S. Navy 1957-1961 on the USS Dixie. Keith started out driving logging trucks in his early years, working in the trucking and oil business and most recently his own long haul trucking business.
Keith lived in Utah and Colorado until deciding to return to the Coeur d’Alene area in 1981. He loved riding horses and living life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Heather; daughters Brenda (Mike) Paulsen, Tess (Gene) Rogers and Lisa Kessler; nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Lola (Jack) McNamara, Deon Pollock, Barbara Saunders and one brother Richard Baese.
Keith will be deeply missed by everyone especially his newest “best friend” and traveling companion while on the road “Boomer” his red heeler puppy.
Keith chose to be cremated and his ashes will be spread at a later date at one of his favorite places — Priest Lake.
A celebration of his life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Sunrise Day Use Area at Farragut State Park in Bayview. A $5 day pass will need to be purchased for entrance into the park.
