Connolly nets OT winner

Tim Connolly scored at 2:31 of overtime, Adam Mair had a goal and assist, and Ryan Miller made 27 saves to help the Buffalo Sabres beat the visiting Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Friday night.

Thomas Vanek also scored for the Sabres, who won for just the second time in their last 10 games to move a point in front of idle Ottawa for first place in the Northeast Division.

Oilers 2, Wild 1, SO: Mike Comrie scored in regulation and added the shootout winner in Edmonton's win over visiting Minnesota.

Red Wings 5, Predators 2: Darren Helm scored twice, and Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and an assist in host Detroit's win over Nashville.

Blackhawks 6, Canucks 3: Andrew Ladd, Duncan Keith, Troy Brouwer, Kris Versteeg and Jordan Hendry scored first-period goals to lead host Chicago past Vancouver.

Flames 5, Devils 3: Miikka Kiprusoff made 22 saves in Calgary's win over visiting New Jersey.
