Sabres reclaim top spot in Northeast

Rookie defenseman Tyler Myers had a goal and three assists and the Buffalo Sabres reclaimed the top spot in the Northeast Division with a 5-3 victory over the visiting Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.

Buffalo improved to 36-20-9 to move two points ahead of idle Ottawa in the Northeast.

Devils 6, Rangers 3: At Newark, N.J., Rob Niedermayer, Jamie Langenbrunner and Brian Rolston had a goal and assist each and New Jersey beat New York.

Capitals 4, Hurricanes 3, OT: Tomas Fleischmann scored in overtime and host Washington beat Carolina.

Blackhawks 3, Kings 2, OT: Patrick Sharp scored his second goal of the game 2:08 into overtime to lift Chicago past visiting Los Angeles.

Coyotes 4, Canucks 3, SO: At Glendale, Ariz., Adrian Aucoin scored in the shootout, leading Phoenix past Vancouver.
