Today’s photo shows a very important ferry. Can you tell me where it was located and why it is important? If you know the answer, give me a call at 1-800-507-9426. Give your answer, your name, and telephone number. If you are a first time caller, please spell your name for me.

The picture last week was of three one armed bandits that was in the Mint Club. Billie Kraus worked at the club and Dan McDonald said the machines took nickels, dimes, and quarters and they were taken out on Jan 1, 1954.

The following people called with the correct answer: Billie Kraus, Dan McDonald, and Marion Vandenberg. Barbara Shiell and Judy Hodgson called with the correct answer regarding the Porthill Ferry.

Sittin' Here Thinkin'

Today, I want to share with you my trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Inland Northwest Honor Flight had chosen 35 veterans to make the flight back to Washington along with an excellent group of volunteers called “guardians.” We flew from Spokane to Salt Lake, and then on to Baltimore, Maryland. Upon arrival, we were shuttled to the Hilton Hotel where we ended the day with an outstanding dinner.
