MOSES LAKE — Garnet Wilson, of Moses Lake, won a large assortment of Grant County-grown produce, meats and other items this week as part of Ag Day awareness.

Wilson’s entry was picked at the Moses Lake Big R.

Her first recipe was corned beef and cabbage, using the onions and potatoes she won.

She received the following items: a commodities basket; $50 beef certificate donated by the Grant County Cattlemen and Grant County CattleWomen, $35 pork gift certificate donated by local pork producers; wool from local sheep producers; dry beans from Columbia Bean & Produce Co.; honey from Silverbow Honey Co.; frozen veggies from National Frozen Foods in Quincy; dried cherries from Royal Ridge Fruit & Cold Storage; onions from Jenks Brothers Cold Storage; potatoes from Blue Sky of Royal City; potatoes from Tatoes of Mattawa; milk and butter from local dairies and wheat products from local farmers.

Entry buckets were placed at the 12 following local businesses: Harvest Foods and Safeway in Moses Lake; Country Market in Warden; Coulee City Food Center in Coulee City; Safeway in Grand Coulee; John’s Foods in Soap Lake; Four Seasons Farm Service and Del’s Farm Supply in Ephrata; Akins in Quincy and Harvest Foods in Royal City and Mattawa.
