COLUMBIA FALLS - Columbia Falls had a pair of school records go down while the Glacier track squads tuned up one last time before divisionals.

All in all, the Wildcats had seven first-place finishes to Glacier's eight in a non-scoring dual track meet on Thursday. On the girls side, Glacier had 12 top finishes out of 17 events.

Columbia Falls' Patric Jessat won the boys 400 in 50.60, which broke Devin Schmitt's school record set in 2006. Nate Thompson also set a new school mark in the javelin with a throw of 181-8. Thompson also won the triple jump.

Glacier's Shane Freese won both the high and long jumps. Katie Pilsch won the girls pole vault, shot put and javelin and Stacey Pitt was tops in both the high jump and pole vault.

Sophia Lewis-Peterson won the girls long jump and 100 for the Wildkats.

Columbia Falls heads to Polson on Saturday while Glacier is done competing until the Western AA divisionals next week in Helena.
