Plenty of races to vote on

It's that time of year again.

Folks can help pick their county, state, federal and judicial representatives at the general election on Tuesday.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election day registration is permitted at all polling locations, with photo I.D. and dated proof of residence required.

Individuals need photo I.D. to vote, or they can sign an affidavit.

To find the nearest polling station, go to www.co.kootenai.id.us to use the Kootenai County Election's polling place locator.

Race results will be posted on the website after polls close.

Tuesday's county and state candidates include:

County seats

• Commissioner, district 2 seat: Incumbent Rick Currie, Republican, is running as a write-in candidate against primary winner Jai Nelson, Republican.

• Coroner: Democrat Jody DeLuca-Hissong is running against Republican Debbie Wilkey.

• Clerk: Democrat incumbent Dan English is running against Republican Cliff Hayes.

• Treasurer: Republican incumbent Tom Malzahn is running unopposed.

• Assessor: Incumbent Mike McDowell, Republican, is running unopposed.

• Commissioner, district 3 seat: Republican Dan Green is running unopposed.

• Legislative District 3:

State senator: Republican Steve Vick is running unopposed.

State representative, position A: Republican Vito Barbieri is running unopposed.

State representative, position B: Incumbent Phil Hart, Republican, is running against write-in candidate Howard Griffiths, Republican.

• Legislative District 4:

State senator: Incumbent John Goedde, Republican, is running against Ray J. Writz, Constitutional Party, and Independent Jeremy P. Boggess.

State representative, position A: Incumbent Republican Marge Chadderdon is running against Democrat Mike Bullard.

State representative, position B: Democrat Paula Marano is running against Republican Kathleen Sims.

• Legislative District 5:

State senator: Republican incumbent Jim Hammond is running unopposed.

State representative, position A: Republican incumbent Bob Nonini is running against Democrat David Larsen.

State representative, position B: Republican incumbent Frank Henderson is running unopposed.
