CHINA: Get a clue, Mr. Kruh

Did I just hear a mouse squeak or was it Brian Kruh opening his wallet?

This guy was so out of tune with the Chamber of Commerce sponsored trip to China - I find it "thoroughly confusing" and offended by his comment "I find it offensive that we seem to be so naive ... as to feel this was anything other than it was." I find it offensive that this gentleman apparently did no research on China prior to his signing up for the trip, nor did he read the chamber's written explanation of the itinerary.

What part of "Chamber of Commerce" did you not understand Mr. Kruh? I found the visits to the museums and factories to be quite fascinating - the artistry and craftsmanship was beyond comprehension. If you would have inquired of your guide, you would have known that the Chinese norm for shopping is service, i.e. having a sales clerk accompany you to assist you. Personally, I have experienced greater "High pressure commissioned sales people" selling Chicklets gum in Mexico.

I found the Chinese people to be warm, friendly and very family oriented - America should follow their example of family values.

I agree with you on two issues, the "Bund" (Bejing) was certainly a delight to see, and I also purchased the Obama T-shirt you mentioned - it has raised the ire of several liberals, and is therefore worth its weight in gold.

Kudos to the Cd'A C.O.C. for a great trip, worth every dollar.
