Coeur d'Alene Sting under-11 girls (Engebretsen): In their last WSYSA District 6 League game of the fall on Saturday, the Sting beat Shadow Sky (Jones) 4-2.

Payton Barber and Annica Wilson both scored twice for the Sting. Assists were made by Sarah Mullen, Georgia Henkle and Anna Hilbert. Capriel Halliday and Bailey Swoboda teamed in goal for the win.

The Sting went 3-4-3 for the fall season.

Sting U13 girls (White): The Sting went 1-1 in a doubleheader on Saturday.

The Sting beat the Sandpoint Strikers U14 (Sleyster) 3-2. Francine Mullen scored the first goal for the Sting early in the first half. In the second half, Samantha Lane scored on a penalty kick. Samatha Lane again scored on a corner kick, bending the ball into the goal.

The Sting lost to VYSA (Sly) of Lewiston 3-1 in their second game. The lone Sting goal was made by Olivia Maryon on a rebound from a penalty kick made by Kristen Cavalin.

Sting U10 boys (Barcelona): In their last game of the fall season, the Sting ended with a 9-1 win over the Sandpoint Strikers (Hauck). Spencer Messina and Keaton Murphree scored two goals each for the Sting, and Trevor Rau, Nolan Meehan, Dakota Fisbeck, Cameron Johnson, and Aidan Hassell each scored once. Keaton Murphree had two assists, Trevor Rau one.

Sting U10B (Chelsea): The Sting finished the fall season on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Sandpoint Strikers (Hauck). The Sting's goal was scored by Tyler Shaw with an assist by Noah Cobb.

Sting U12B (Vredenberg): The Sting wrapped up the fall season with a doubleheader on Saturday.

In the morning the Sting defeated Shadow Storm '98 (Frantilla) 6-1 in Cheney. Travis Swallow scored a hat trick, and Ezra Grossglauser, Cade Martinelli and Brayden Lanphere scored once each. Assists came from Cade Martinelli, Alex Walde and Travis Swallow.

Later that day the Sting beat the Shadow Breakers '98 (Higdon) 6-0 in Spokane. Nolan Mullan-Huber scored twice and Callen Trapp, Travis Swallow, Ezra Grossglauser and Connor Shaw scored once each, with assists from Cole Fawcett, Nolan Mullen-Huber and Alex Walde.

Sting U10 girls (Roberts): The Sting finished the season undefeated in Northwest League play with a 5-0 win over the Sting (Anderson). Goal scorers were Tiana Cydell, Erica Skinlov, Mollie Haman and Madison Morris.

Idaho Thunder U13 girls (Briggs): The Thunder finished the fall season undefeated in Northwest League play with a 3-1 win over Moscow United and 4-1 win over Spokane Elite. Goal scorers were Shaylee Morlan, Sadie Schmeling, Alli Crain and Havana Johnson.

Sting U10 girls (McCaw): The Sting finished the fall season 8-2, capped by a 3-1 victory over Pullman. Riley Croghan scored two goals, Chloe Teets one.

Sting U11 girls (Dupree): The Sting shut out the Spokane Shadow Sabres (Neder) 2-0 on Oct. 23. Marie Michelson and Allie Rollins teamed for the shutout in goal, and Rylee Brown and Grace Kirschner each scored once.

BASKETBALL

Tourney set: The Turkey Shoot 3-on-3 basketball tournament is scheduled for Nov. 28 at the HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake.

Boys and girls 12-and-under and 14-and-under teams will be guaranteed three games. Cost is $155 per team.

Grade 9-10 basketball league: A 9th/10th-grade boys basketball league will be offered by the Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department.

Registration will be held Nov. 1-20. Practices will begin in December and games will be held the month of December through the first of January.

Cost is $26 for city residents and $31 for non-city residents.

The Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department is located in the lower level of City Hall at 710 Mullan Avenue.
