The Badgers defense beat a Priest River passing game winning Friday’s game 24 to 12 at home.

“The team played well on Senior Night,” said coach Ed DePriest. “The defense did a good job shutting down a potent passing game, as defensive linemen and linebackers.”

Adam Lund, Kyle Murphy, Alex Awbrey, Chayce Ennis, Zach Heigel, Reed Bennett, Brandon Ratcliff and Carman Krichbaum pressured the quarterback into throwing three interceptions by Ozzie Braff, Alek Lopez, and Taylor Tompke.

The offense controlled the ball led by linemen Alex Awbrey, Kyle Murphy, Austin Skeen, Zany Peycke, Jeff Garcia, Chase Mellon and Lance Abeyta.

Ozzie Braff scored two touch downs and Taylor Tompke scored one and had two 2-point conversions, while Mitch Manley scored one 2-point conversion.

”We face an extremely physical team in the number one team in the state this Friday at Fruitland,” DePriest.  “Fruitland is probably one of the top five teams in the state, regardless of division.”

n Seniors honored during half-time for senior night include Spencer Henslee, Taylor Tompke, Chase Mellon, Lance Albeyta, Mitch Manley, Alek Lopez, Kyle Murphy, Brandon Ratcliff, Austin Skeen, Chayce Ennis, Zane Peycke and David Willems.
